The planning started with the desired final effect: to create the identity of the campaign pieces based on real "lambe-lambes."
To achieve this, simply using computers and editing software wouldn't suffice. It was necessary to manually draw the illustrations and compose the necessary elements to recreate the different aesthetic outputs of this art style, print on newsprint, and finally photograph the result applied to the wall. All of this aimed to get as close as possible to the appearance of reality, even in the final digital result.
FIRST BY HAND
We received a briefing to produce illustrations of the elements—ball, crown, and heart—in hatching. Given the numerous possibilities for the same technique, we presented alternatives to give the creatives freedom of choice: one in pencil and two in ink, one of which was done with a dip pen. After being approved by the client, they underwent the printing process on paper, ensuring the visual language of the work.
HALFTONE, THE DETAIL THAT BRINGS REALITY
The effect of the paper "lambe-lambes" placed around was the result of the halftoning process present in the pieces, which were actually printed and glued to a wall before being photographed for final delivery.
