THE PROJECT, ITS CHALLENGES,
AND THE STUDIO'S GUIDANCE
Medical projects are always filled with specifications that guide the entire creative process, from the agency to us who get hands-on.
For this BOTOX project, patient conditions are delicately more specific and brought us significant challenges as we produced everything in Brazil, with the client in the USA. From the instructions for each position of the limbs to framing and lighting, everything focused on achieving a result that would be credible to the professionals involved in the entire campaign development process.
SKETCHES
As a first step, still internally, we sought to envision the production through sketches and extensive research on illustration styles that, in addition to having personality, would be functional for representing each of the specific movements.
An important note is that the final illustrations could only be developed and presented after the approval of the acting in the photos, as that is where we would have our defined canvas.
EARLY
PRODUCTION TESTS
With the challenges exposed in our development, we decided to conduct an early test day involving all teams, aiming to have the entire dynamics of the final work. This allowed us to generate a rehearsal so that everyone could contribute and proceed to the final day with ease. It also enabled the production of illustrations simultaneously with the final shooting day.
